The Ayous refuge is open from the end of May to the beginning of October. For the precise dates, which change from one year to the next, you can go to the refuge website: refuge-ayous.fr. You will find lots of other information there and can book your night. Also note that it is possible to bivouac around the refuge.

Very worthwhile refuge. Camping possibility for the night down at Lac Gentau. From here it is worth leaving the GR10 and walking towards Refuge Pombie via Lac Casterau. (HRP variant). Mobile phone charging was sometimes possible in the refuge. 00 33 (0) 5 59 05 37 00
