Also called the Dragon Staircase. In the center are 3 fountains one in the form of a dragon. The stairs to the left and right of this lead to the market square.

The monumental staircase is a double staircase divided into three sections, combining rocks and vegetation. The second staircase is decorated with a fountain in the shape of a snake's head resting on the ridge of Catalonia, a dragon with very bright colors (which has become the most popular image in the park) and a tripod that looks like composed of three snakes.

Park Güell reflects Gaudí's artistic richness: it belongs to his naturalistic phase (first decade of the 20th century), a period in which the architect perfected his personal style, taking inspiration from the organic forms of nature and transforming them into practice implemented a whole series of new structural solutions resulting from his in-depth analysis of ruled geometry. Furthermore, the Catalan artist adds great creative freedom and an imaginative ornamental design: starting from a certain baroque style, his works attain great structural richness, forms and volumes without rationalistic rigidity or any classical premise.1 In Park Güell, Gaudí showed everything that his architectural Werk was a genius and put into practice many of his innovative structural solutions that would be a symbol of his organic style, culminating in the Sagrada Família.
