Depending on which direction you're coming from, 2,670-foot (814-meter) Ward Mountain is the first or last in a series of peaks on this ridge. It makes a fine destination on its own, or can be done as part of the Perseverance or Minerva Mountain trails.
Heads up: Weather can be very predictable on this ridge. It's best suited for expert hikers who are prepared to be self-sufficient and comfortable with wayfinding in low visibility.
