Bumblebees (Bombus) are a genus of social insects belonging to the true bees.
The females of the Hymenoptera, whose stinging stings are found primarily in the temperate and cooler regions of the Northern Hemisphere.

Depending on the species, a bumblebee colony consists of approximately 50 to 600 individuals and a queen.
The majority of the individuals are workers, but the colony also includes males, which, like honeybees, are called drones, as well as young queens.
A colony in Europe only survives one summer and usually dies by September.
Only the mated young queens overwinter, and in the early spring of the following year, they begin building a nest on their own and thus establishing a new colony.
Such queens reach an age of up to twelve months, of which they spend up to eight months in hibernation. Drones and workers, on the other hand, typically only reach an age of three to four weeks.
