The 800m long border nature trail runs between Gerstungen and Wildeck and offers hands-on history.
The stages of expansion of the former inner-German border are explained to the viewer in eight showcases and special panels using texts, data overviews and images. The inhumanity of this border and its impact on the lives of people on both sides are made clear. Remains of border barriers can be viewed in the area of the railway line. The approximately 800m long border educational trail begins at the end of Wildeck-Obersuhl in the direction of Gerstungen and ends at the border museum on the guard.
