The surroundings of Žihlavník are characterized by dense forests, vast meadows and rich flora and fauna. A variety of plants can be admired in the meadows, including a number of medicinal herbs such as nettle, which probably gave the site its name. The area is also home to an abundance of wildlife, making it popular with nature lovers and photographers.
