A very nice moderately difficult mountain hike, it is quite steep uphill and downhill. Hiking sticks recommended, sure-footedness and Alpine experience must be available and you must also be free from giddiness. There are really very nice vantage points all around the mountain hike. At the start there is a very nice barbecue area after about 200m. There are also a few benches along the way. After you have reached the top of the Vitznauer-Gersauerstock (1452 m asl) If the weather is also on its good side, the view of the Alps and Lake Lucerne is a dream for the eyes and soul.
Important: The whole path is really well developed and marked. However, be careful, there are a lot of leaves on the ground and you can't always see what's underneath the path (very slippery) and dangerous.
Info: For me this is a moderate mountain hike, but for someone else it can be a very difficult mountain hike.
I found the following highlights of the mountain hike to be:
- Always a great view of the Alps and down to Lake Lucerne.
- Very varied mountain hike
Important: This tour starts directly from the public car park at Hinterbergen cable car in Vitznau. fees due. 12 hours CHF 4.00 / 24 hours CHF 6.00
FYI: moderately difficult mountain hike
Difficulty level: T2 (mountain hiking)
