    In 1502 the town hall was built from a previous Gothic building and around 1672 it was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. At that time, the three still existing gables were added. In 1924 a restaurant was opened on the ground floor. In the vaulted rooms of the Ratskeller, a restaurant invites you to regional food. The Second World War did not spare the City Hall either. The building was badly damaged. Its reconstruction lasted almost 10 years. The town and community library and the Gubin culture center with event hall have been located here since 1986. The town and main church is still a ruin, but the reconstruction is taking on clear features. At least the church tower is accessible again. Signs indicate when the ascent is possible.
