At the water's edge 🌊, between Sint Philipsland and Steenbergen, lie the Heen Mudflats. This is a beautiful nature reserve where land and sea meet. At low tide, mudflats and sandbanks emerge, a paradise for birds 🐦🦆 that rest and forage here.

The area is a mosaic of creeks 💧, grasslands 🌾, and rugged nature 🌿. During a walk, you'll hear the calls of geese and ducks, see deer 🦌 along the edges, and sometimes feel the salty wind 🌬️ blowing across the area from the Oosterschelde.
