Wittenberge's town hall was built in 1914 in the Historicist style.

Architectural connoisseurs will also discover elements of the Neo-Renaissance, Neo-Baroque, and Neo-Classical periods. The building was intended to express the self-confidence of the people of Wittenberg with echoes of medieval knightly splendor.

Surrounded by spacious green spaces and attractive squares, its stately tower, topped with a spiked helmet, is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city and dominates its skyline.

A climb to the 51-meter-high tower, weather permitting, offers a sweeping view
of the city and the surrounding area. From May to October, guided tours with a tower climb are offered every first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. without prior registration.

Meeting point is in front of the main entrance of the town hall.
