In the Fuente del Cura Recreational Area there is a good car park, fountains, benches, groves of Pyrenean oaks and information panels on local itineraries designed in the main natural areas and places of interest in the municipality of Miraflores de la Sierra. The sources represent one of the main natural resources of the population, a territory rich in pastures, springs and water. In the urban center is the Fuente Nueva, built in 1791, a sign of local identity, with two basins, one for washing and another as a cattle trough. On the path to Pinar de Aguirre, very close to the recreational area where the route begins, is the Fuente de la Villa, much more monumental than the Fuente del Cura. The tour leaves the car park to the north, along the access track to the Miraflores reservoir. The road is smooth and pleasant, between hills in ambush, to warm up the body a bit before the slopes arrive. The first section of the excursion coincides with the itinerary SL-05 of the local routes.
