To take the most important things first ... a total of 65 wooden steps have to be climbed in order to enjoy a wonderful all-round view from the top (either from inside or outside). A large number of information boards reveal something worth knowing!

Not the highest, but the most beautiful publicly accessible observation tower in Wendland. A great place to go to see wildlife and birds or to watch sunrises and sunsets. Since the stairs are inside the tower, you are protected from wind and weather when climbing. Above, inside the tower dome, there is seating, from the outside there is a circular path around the tower dome. From there you have a great view of the meadows and fields in the area, as well as the Seege river (which, however, looks more like a small stream here). I would like to see more towers like this in Wendland, e.g. Such a tower would certainly look great on Gartower See or on the banks of the Elbe.
