The perhaps somewhat arduous way to the post tower is really worth it. From here you have a unique panoramic view of Bacharach. The post tower is one of the most splendid viewpoints of the "secret capital of the romantic Rhine".

The "Posten" is a very well-known Bacharach vineyard. Many painters captured Bacharach in pictures from this steep slope, making the medieval-looking cityscape world-famous.
