Since the restoration of the legacy of uranium ore mining in Saxony and Thuringia began, transparent information to the public about the work on Europe's largest environmental project has been a priority for Wismut GmbH. The complex topic of bismuth is presented in its entirety for the first time in the bismuth object 90. From the first "wild years" of the world's third largest uranium ore producer to the development of a modern mining company and the remediation of the legacies, the exhibition covers all stages of Wismut. With a multi-vision show, historical documents, in-depth content on boards and terminals and impressive exhibits, the exhibition offers information and background information for every requirement. In this way, different interests and previous knowledge of the visitors are taken into account. If the visitor steps outside after his visit, he can see the result of the renovation work with his own eyes. Where an impressive landscape presents itself today, the crater of the Lichtenberg opencast mine with its surrounding heaps shaped the picture.
