The Queen Wilhelmin Pavilion, the brown-gray square building on the corner of Cingelstraat, was built in 1867 as a HBS and thoroughly restored in 2008. Since then it has been called the Queen Wilhelmin Pavilion. There is now a permanent exhibition about the history of the castle and its inhabitants over the centuries. It is part of the KMA building complex and is open to the public on Tuesdays.

Originally the building, which was completed in 1867, was the Municipal HBS of Breda. In 1901 it became part of the Royal Military Academy. From that time on, the building has had numerous uses, including the library of the KMA and a publishing house of military regulations. In the post-war period from 1949, the building served, among other things, as a teaching facility and practical for the liaison service and, after a renovation in 1975, again for a short period as a general teaching building. Later on it became a warehouse for clothing and equipment of the cadets and the tailor's shop. Due to structural defects, a thorough restoration was again necessary. (KMA).[1] The building was thoroughly restored and on November 25, 2008, the new name was unveiled with gunpowder by the then State Secretary Jack de Vries: Queen Wilhelmina Pavilion. The building houses the personnel recruitment department, an exhibition space of the KMA Historical Collection Foundation and the Communications section of the Netherlands Defense Academy.
