Wonderful place for its history and views of the town of Aracena.
In this location, recent archaeological studies have found remains of dwellings dating from the 10th to the 13th centuries, already prior to the Christian era, which allows us to elucidate that it was part of an Andalusian population. Some of these remains can be seen inside the castle next to the various rooms of the medieval fortress.

The castle was built in the middle of the 13th century and remained in use until the beginning of the 16th century. It consists of a parade ground and a fortress, separated by a wall where the Torre Mayor stands out. It is an emblematic place and has spectacular views. A guided visit costs 2.50 euros and the castle is open all year.
