Nykøbing's main attraction is the Middle Ages Center, which was modeled on a 15th century town. Here you feel as if you are transported back in time and experience the Middle Ages first hand.
Here you can experience the historic technologies in the form of war machines, such as slingshots and old handguns. There are also jousting tournaments almost every day, archery in the high season as well as the firing of smaller handguns. In the working workshops one learns how to make ropes, dyed fabrics or can watch a blacksmith at his craft.
