It took almost two years, it cost 9.8 million euros, now it's finally finished: the new beach park "Waller Sand". For this purpose, ships have delivered around 150,000 cubic meters of sand. Bathing is not allowed there: the water area in front of the beach is not suitable for swimming. Because there is a turning basin for ships - swimming would therefore be too dangerous.

Beach visitors can take the Pusdorp ferry from Waterfront / Pier 2 or take a bus shuttle. The bus commutes every 15 minutes between the Aldi market at the head of the European port and "Waller Sand". If you want, you can also take bus lines 26 or 28 and get off at the Silbermannstraße stop. From there you walk about 15 minutes to "Waller Sand".

Parking is limited for drivers and is limited to the usual parking spaces in the side streets and temporary parking spaces directly on the beach.

The beach park is a nice destination for a bike tour. The Pusdorp ferry commutes between Lankenauer Höft, Waterfront and Molenturm (Waller Sand) on weekends and public holidays in summer. Buses 26 and 28 currently run to Silbermannstrasse. From there it is a 15 minute walk.
