The camouflage names of the submarine bunkers were based on the initial letters of the locations: "Valentin" came from Vegesack, the location of the Vulkan shipyard. The "Wespe" submarine bunker was in Wilhelmshaven and the "Hornet" bunker in the ports of Bremen. In Hamburg-Finkenwerder the submarine bunker was called "Fink II", and in Kiel there was the submarine bunker "Kilian".

This submarine bunker is less known than the "Valentin" in Farge. It's also much smaller. The interesting thing about the bunker is that an office building was built on its roof.

In addition to the "Valentin" in Farge, there is another submarine bunker in the industrial port area at the end of Kap-Horn-Straße. It is much smaller than the "Valentin", but was not used for the purpose either (whereby the existing bunker is only part of a larger system). Today there is an office building on the roof of the bunker!
