The Haut-Koenigsbourg, whose contraction means the king's high castle, offers hikers and lovers of fortified castles a gateway to the Middle Ages.

Haut-Koenigsbourg in Orschwiller/France, always worth a visit. Restored from a ruined castle to a museum castle in the early 1900s using the most modern means of the time. Since the Haut-Koenigsbourg is a popular excursion destination, a lot of people are to be expected. Easy to reach by car, so touristically developed.
