With the unique architecture of Dorte Mandrup, where the roof, facade and even roof overhangs are covered with thatch, and strips of robinia allow the old and new buildings to merge, a structure has been created that looks as if it were literally growing out of the ground - and perfectly adapted to the flat marshland.

The exhibition THE WADDEN SEA OF MIGRATIVE BIRDS is also adapted to the unique center. In collaboration with WADTENMEER-ZENTRUM, architect Johan Carlsson, with a carefully thought-out design, in a poetic, aesthetic and modern way, created an exhibition that shows the Wadden Sea and the migratory birds with great feeling. The experiences here bring all guests of the center - whether old or young - closer to the wonderful world of the Wadden Sea in an appealing way
