The summit can be hiked from the Seegupf or Rottenmanner Hütte. Hiking trail no. 944 then continues for those in good physical condition to the Hochhaide (descent path) or to the Bösenstein.
We decide to descend from the Diewaldgupf to the Seegupf and hike back along the beautiful hiking trail via Hirschriedel to the Rottenmanner Hütte.
