The Eschif in Périgueux was built in 1347 as a watchtower for a toll bridge. The oak frame building with wickerwork enthroned on the narrow city wall and was supported by the still visible oak struts.
Today it is falsely referred to as "old mill". It was nearby, but it does not exist today.
