It's a popular photo subject and a focal point for locals and visitors alike in Mörlenbach: the large, red wooden Heimat lettering on Schulstraße. Installed in 2016 as part of the "Walk of Art" art project, the seven years since have taken their toll. Therefore, it is being recreated: with sturdier material, but in its familiar shape and color.

Bodo Kalesse, First Deputy Mayor and member of the organizing team for the art project, recalled the origins of the lettering, which was created for the 2016 Walk of Art in collaboration with students from the Seeberg School. The works from this open-air project are usually taken down after a few weeks, but the distinctive Heimat letters remained in place in consultation with the municipality and have since become a small landmark of Mörlenbach.
