The Gaustadt lock connects the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal via the Regnitz to the Main-Danube Canal. Confluence of the Regnitz at MDK km 2.60.
The lock is still in operation and is used daily by the ships of Bamberg's Fritz Kropf passenger shipping company.
