Oederan has a remarkable medieval town center, which is largely preserved. The center of the small town is quickly explored on foot before you look at the Little Ore Mountains.

Of supra-regional importance is the Renaissance town hall with its ornate corner oriel window. The building was extensively altered in the Baroque period. A striking feature is the roof turret erected by Johann Gottlieb Ohndorff, the master carpenter of the Freiberg town council.

Next to the town hall, a weaving museum, initially named "webMUSEUM Oederan," has been located since 2004.
