The Hochplatte is a mountain in the Chiemgau Alps east of the Kampenwand with a height of 1587 m. For a long time it represented the western edge of the range of the plant genus Hundszunge. The mountain is visited by hikers and paragliders and in winter by tobogganers.
The high plateau is easy to reach from the north-east from Marquartstein. The approximately two and a half hour ascent leads largely over forest roads. In the last few meters you reach the summit via a path. The ascent can be shortened by using the Hochplattenbahn.
