Sempach relies on its stories
Sempach, the small town on the beautiful Lake Sempach, presents itself with its wealth of small and large stories. A walk has been created for this purpose, which is suitable for the whole family. It connects ten original locations of scary legends and other stories. These places are marked by red markers with the Sempach lion. The ten stories include legends about the Battle of Sempach in 1386 as well as less well-known stories from more recent times. Why, for example, was the Ochsentor torn down in 1865 and rebuilt in 1986? Was there really a game played for a room in the town in the past? Why was the water level of Lake Sempach lowered in 1806? Or do you know the love story of Renata von Wartensee? A brochure, which is available from the Sempach town council, for example, is a good accompaniment. It goes into more detail about the ten stories and contains everything worth knowing about the historic town on Lake Sempach. Treat yourself and your family to an exciting adventure trail and visit the original locations. Depending on the route, a historic walk takes between one and three hours.
