This trail primarily traverses the middle of the mountain slope, offering stunning vistas of the towering mountain walls and rugged cliffs. Notably, it is classified as a T2 trail, yet certain segments warrant a T4 rating. Within these "T4" portions, the path narrows to as little as 20 cm and inclines sharply towards the mountainside. A misstep here could send one tumbling several meters downhill. Approximately 70% of the trail consists of loose small to medium-sized rocks, providing minimal traction, especially when wet. Some rocks on the path actually fall downhill when stepped on. The trail lacks clear signage, and there are two sections where one might easily lose their way if not fully attentive.

In summary, it's an exhilarating experience for seasoned hikers, but those seeking a leisurely outing should carefully reconsider their choice.

The path from Oberlauelen up to the Klimenshorn is quite steep and it is amazing how fast you can gain altitude through the slope. For the way it needs already a little head for heights, he is secured in some places with chains, a staircase it is necessary to climb high and partly to climb rocky passages with big steps, or easy Kraxelei. When it's wet, especially those rocky passages can be slippery. The path from Oberlauelen to Klimsenhorn is in the shadow in the morning and therefore ideal for hot summer days. Warning!!! The climb is extremely dangerous and can be life-threatening even in the best conditions. There are dangerous climbing sections for over a kilometer. Only for very, very experienced climbers! A no-go with children!!!
