Beautiful Church in the town of Mook. With a good view of the Maas.

A small church stood here as early as the 13th century. This was dedicated to Saint Adelbertus. Around 1400 the church was expanded with a three-sided marl stone choir. The late Gothic tower is probably 15th century, the transept is from about 1500.

In 1574 the church was damaged during the Battle of the Mookerheide. In 1675, French troops set fire to it.

In 1909 the church was enlarged, the nave was demolished and a new three-aisled nave was built, with a new, larger transept in neo-Gothic style, which was built to the east of and against the old transept. Architect was Caspar Franssen. In 1981 the church was restored.

The church, which sits on a small elevation, is surrounded by a walled graveyard.
