    The Eifel view "Dreiländerblick" at Buchet is at an altitude of 615 meters above sea level and offers an impressive view to the southwest over Bleialf and the Alfbach valley to the Islek and the Ösling, beyond the Ourtal.       The Eifel view "three-country view" wonderful distant view across Bleialf and the Alfbachtal to the Islek and the Ösling, on the other side of the Ourtal. On a clear day, the view to the west extends to the High Fens in Belgium. The individual places can be easily assigned on display boards.

        Spotlight 1: Islek
        Islek refers to an area in the West Eifel. It includes large areas of the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm and parts of the border areas of Luxembourg and Belgium. The area continues into the Ardennes and is known for its natural beauty and unique distant views. The name is derived from the former Franconian Ösling-Gau.

        Focus 4: Alfbachtal
        The "Alfbachtal", a nature reserve, is home to a unique flora and fauna. Even the European beaver and the black stork have resettled here.

        Spotlight 5: Ösling
        The Luxembourgish part of the Ardennes is called Ösling. The area is about 450 to 550m above sea level. Characteristic are the deeply incised valleys such as the Sauertal. The highest elevation is 560m above sea level near Huldingen.

        Spotlight 6: Winterspelt
        The local church consists of 10 districts and was first established in 893 AD. mentioned in the Prüm Urbar. The place became famous through Alfred Andersch and his novel "Winterspelt", which was filmed in 1977.

        Spotlight 7: Buchet/district of Weidinger
        Worth seeing is the chapel of Buchet, which is adapted to the name of the place by the shape of a beech leaf.

        Spotlight 8: Lead Alf
        Only about 5 km from the German-Belgian border lies on the edge of the Schneifel Bleialf, a town whose mining history goes back about 2000 years. One of the three lead ore deposits in the Eifel is located here. A visit to the Mühlenberger Stollen visitor mine should not be missed.

        Point of view 9: Upper Our valley
        The Our is the border river between Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. In the upper reaches, as a small stream, it passes through the meadows surrounded by hedges, in order to cut its way up to 150m deep into the mountains in its middle and lower reaches with numerous meanders. The steep slopes are overgrown with forest. The Our flows into the Sauer near Wallendorf.

        The landscape of the High Fens is characterized by gnarled downy birches, isolated spruce and pine trees and large areas of moor grass. Numerous dams in the vicinity of the High Fens, which together have a storage capacity of over 300 million cubic meters, are fed by this oversized water reservoir.
