Lac de l’Hongrin is located in the canton of Vaud in the communes of Château-d’Oex and Ormont-Dessous. The water is processed in the Veytaux power station and then flows into Lake Geneva. In this way, the catchment area of the Hongrin, which drains to the Rhine, is partly fed to the Rhone via the European main watershed.

The area around Lac de l'Hongrin is a military firing range, so that on weekdays access is often restricted or not possible at all.

A great little hike with breathtaking views of the lake.
There's a large section on tarmac depending on the route taken, but it's still a pleasant experience!
