Hexenviertel - Beautiful little steep alley leading from the Schmalzturm/Schönen Turm in the direction of Schlossberg - Landsberg am Lech.
The Hexenviertel is actually just a hidden alley that leads from the Schönen Turm in the direction of the Schlossberg. But it is worth visiting this alley, because the houses in the witches' quarter have their own, very romantic appearance with their wooden porches. Due to the steep hillside, the alley is only built on on one side. The castle once stood above the slope, but it was demolished around 1800. At the upper end of the witches' quarter, a gate leads to the former village of Phetine, which lies in a valley and is the oldest settlement in the city today. Phetine was incorporated into the city's ring of fortifications in the 15th century.
