The Diocese of Aachen, in whose territory we are located here, has set up a special pastoral care center for the two - in terms of content, extremely contradictory - topics of "environment" on the one hand (represented by the Eifel National Park) and the Nazi regime (represented by the former Nazi Ordensburg Vogelsang). A project that is very popular with hikers is the "Creation Trail" shown here, which begins above Erkensruhr and leads to the heights on the edge of the Dreiborn plateau.
