The Baden casino was opened in the Kurhaus on April 12, 1934, as the first year-round operation of the Austrian casinos at the time. The casino was closed during World War II. After the end of the war, it was home to the Russian headquarters - so gaming could not be resumed until mid-1955. In 1968 the casino moved to the Kongresshaus. From 1977 the Casino Baden was rebuilt several times.
