Dillenburg occupies a central position on the Dill, historically and geographically. The town centre is lined with half-timbered houses richly decorated. This is a historical town centre that has grown over time, ... these are cobbled streets lined with half-timbering that run through the old town, ... but they are also witnesses from the time of the Oranges. The Wilhelmsturm tower, which was built from the remains of the castle, towers over the whole as an apparent guardian.
