The open-air stage is huge and with a little luck, the annual Karl May Festival is taking place when you come by. But the area is also worth a visit outside of season.

The festival is interesting for young and old: apart from the approximately two-hour play on a huge open-air stage with countless actors, horses, carriages, covered wagons, even a train that comes along every now and then, and a waterfall on the stage, you can be entertained here all day long spend. Stunt shows, horse dressage, bird of prey performances, music shows and various other attractions are available in the nice western town around the festival stage.

The parking situation is well regulated and free. Everything was well organized. We had a great trip 👍 and all the children 9/10/13/15/18 found it great, even without knowing KarlMay films or books.

The last photos give a small overview of the large stage.
Oh, and you shouldn't be very frightened: it bangs and explodes and burns on stage from time to time 😜
