An amazing view - right in the middle is the monastery Kalvarienberg, to which a way of the cross with 14 stations leads up. The convent, founded in 1838, was closed on July 5, 2017 for reasons of age, lack of young talent and because of its poor economic situation, today a secondary school for girls and boys. In the background the A61 motorway bridge, the "Ahrtalbrücke" (built in 1976) is the longest bridge on the BAB 61 at 1521 m and spans the Ahr valley between Bad Neuenahr and Heimersheim at a maximum height of 54 m.

This spot in the mountains above the Ahr River, slightly cleared of the vegetation of the immediate vicinity to provide a view of the valley, is advertised on the hiking trail signs as a "district town view." One could sarcastically say: A beautiful view, if it weren't for the many houses down there :-)
