Hedwig Courths-Mahler was born on February 18, 1867 in Nebra, she died on November 26, 1950 in Tegernsee, her real name was Ernestine Friederike Elisabeth née Mahle and she was a German writer. She wrote over 200 romance novels, which were very popular during her lifetime and are still available in abridged form as periodicals to this day. The inventory includes exhibitions on ancient crafts in Nebra. These include stonemason, rope maker, boatbuilder, cooper, white seamstress, cigar press, shoemaker, blacksmith, basket maker and potter. It also displays everyday items, an old kitchen, a white laundry room and a toy room. The exhibits date from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
