The casemates were built in 1824-29 as a bomb-proof defense system in the area of the main wall. They housed command posts as earth-covered vaults and were used to house soldiers, horses, weapons and provisions. Today you will find a varied selection of gastronomy there.

simply delicious😍😍😍 and the waiters are very nice and the best thing that touched me personally...... the non-German-speaking waiter gave a needy old grandmother a croissant on the house and when I wanted to give him 5 euros so that he could buy her coffee, he said "no, I'll pay for it, she gets it from me every day, it's a need for me". I kept thinking that day about how nicely this man treated this woman
