Mascheroder Spring
The source of the Springbach is the Mascheroder Spring in the Feldmark southwest of Mascherode near the L632 state road to Stöckheim. The spring water has a temperature of about 10 degrees all year round. The Spring is a small pond directly on a field path and has had the status of a natural monument since 1977. Part of the spring rises on the other side of the dirt road and is connected to the pond by a sewer pipe. The outflow from the spring pond into the ditch takes place via a small invert. The source emerges below the chalky limestone heights that rise gently to the east and marks the beginning of the Stöckheimer Mulde. (Wikipedia 02/2022)
