During the Nazi era, it was planned that the village of Lederbach would be demolished and used for air force exercises. In 1939, the chapel was demolished. This monument by the village pond commemorates the former church, which has been incorporated into the basalt column as a relief image.

The chapel in Lederbach was built in the 17th century. The chapel was demolished in 1939 as part of the establishment of the Ahrbrück Air Force Training Area. This commemorative stele made of basalt with a bronze information board was erected in front of the Lederbach village pond, near where the chapel used to be.
