Grenen is the northern tip of Jutland, which runs flat into the sea, three kilometers northeast of Skagen, where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet, the Skagerrak and the Kattegat converge. The point is thus the outermost point of Skagen Odde, the headland of Skagen, which extends north of Frederikshavn for a length of around 30 kilometers and is one of the largest headlands in the world. The headland is constantly in motion due to wind, currents and weather and has lengthened by around 2.5 kilometers to the northeast over the past 300 years.
Access: You can only cycle to the square at the end of Fyrvej. Bicycle racks offer options for securing the bike to secure against theft. From there, you can continue on foot through the sand of the dunes or, if you like, with the “Sandormen”, a mini-train that a tractor brings to the headland.
