The Royal Site of San Ildefonso is a suggestive fusion of history, art and culture in a beautiful natural environment, an interesting combination of tourist and recreational attractions centered mainly on the Royal Palace of La Granja, with its beautiful gardens, and the Royal Factory of Cristales, founded in the 18th century in several historic buildings, has the Technological Museum where visitors can admire beautiful collections of artisanal glass manufacturing and real demonstrations of the work in the factory's ovens. The Caserío de Urgel urbanization is next to the north wall of the Royal Palace enclosure, at the foot of the mountain range. The access road from the center of the town coincides with the Cordel del Puente de las Merinas, a secondary livestock route that leaves the Cañada Real Soriana Occidental, near Palazuelos del Eresma, and goes up to the pastures of the navas del Infante and from Reventón along the Camino de San Ildefonso to Rascafría.
