The Eiermarkt is the center of Bad Kreuznach's Neustadt, the historic town center.
The square is surrounded by St. Nicholas Church, half-timbered buildings, the historic town clerk's house and the medieval butcher's quarter with its narrow streets. The market for fruit, fish and pottery took place on the Eiermarkt. No other square in the city exudes such a historic flair.
The Michel Mort monument on the Eiermarkt is an artificial stone copy made of epoxy resin and sand and stands on the original limestone base. The original is now in the Bad Kreuznach town hall.
