Chapel of St. Placidus and Rochus, Alp Flix, Tigias
The Chapel of St. Placidus and Rochus was built around the middle of the 14th century with an extension for a pastor's apartment by the Walsers who had moved there. Alp Flix developed very strongly and at that time also had its own pastor. Even at that time the parish was looked after by a local pastor, in the person of Thomas Jäger. The chapel was dedicated to Saints Placi and Sigisbert and only later, after the plague in 1629/30, was it dedicated to the saint of plagues Rochus. The chapel was restored in 1982/83. The apartment and the sacristy, however, were not.

Furnishing and rental of the apartment
The small pastor's apartment was restored in 2020. On the ground floor of the apartment is the sacristy with a beautiful old stove. On the first floor is a paneled room, which has been kept in its original condition. There is also a small kitchenette and a wet room with a shower on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor is the bedroom with a large double bed.
The church is a place of silence and contemplation. The church can be used for prayers. The apartment is rented to clergy or people who need a break and peace and quiet on a daily or weekly basis. For details, see the Prices page.
