    A fairytale place are the old water mills of Mlinčići. The wooden huts, connected by small footbridges, date back to the Austro-Hungarian rule and were built directly on a stream of small rivers. The farmers living here used this to produce flour from wheat. Today the mills are no longer in operation, but with the adjacent forest and the Plivsko Lake you have the feeling of having arrived in the middle of the land of the trolls.

        Veliko and Malo Plivsko jezero offer a lot of sports and recreational opportunities. On the shores of the lakes and around the mentioned mills, there were people who enjoyed fishing, picnicking and playing in the park and canoeing. We also saw a lot of cyclists, hikers and a few swimmers, but we could hardly find a parking space. Despite the hustle and bustle, visiting the mills was a special experience. If your journey happens to take you to the mentioned places or pass by them, I highly recommend them.

            I wondered why this place is called "Mlinčići" - a word that sounds funny and almost killed my poor daughter when she tried to pronounce it. Literally "tiny mills".

            Until I saw them, looking like a fairy tale village of some water elves. 😂

            Jajce is nice. Pliva lakes and the waterfalls are nice too. Mlinčići are on an entirely different level - not just nice but astonishing and possibly unique.
