    Good luck at the Erlahammer manor! In November 2019, the Erlahammer manor, which has been completely renovated since 2015, opened its doors to the public.

    The new exhibition "From the oldest iron hammer to the modern age" is the "heart" of the building on the ground floor. In the small but fine exhibition, visitors can not only learn interesting things about the history of mining in the town and the region. The exhibition was designed for all generations and expressly invites you to touch it. The development of the local ironworks from the beginning to the present day is presented just as clearly as the production process of a workpiece from the first draft to the finished product. Visitors also have the opportunity to learn more interesting stories about the historical building complex in German, Czech and English on an audio tour with an audio guide. The audio tour also provides information about the history of the "Rother Berg" element of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Ore Mountains Mining Region / Krušnohorí".

    In the local history room "Life and Work of Manfred Blechschmidt", which is run by the local local history association, visitors can learn more about the extraordinary work of Manfred Blechschmidt, a forest worker, forester, teacher, writer and Erzgebirge native through and through, who, among other things, also founded the Erzgebirge Ensemble Aue.

      Well-renovated Erlahammer mansion with a farm shop and exhibition (open only half a day a week), with a hall and small shops.
      Right next to it is a large free parking lot for hikers and the train stops right across the street.
      I was there on Sunday when everything was closed. A small gastronomy would be nice, but there is not yet.

        The Heimatstube "Life and Work Manfred Blechschmidt" is run by the local Heimat- und Schulverein Erla-Crandorf e.V. Visitors get an insight into the life of the native and dialect writer.

        But not only those interested in history get their money's worth here. As the socio-cultural center of the town of Erla-Crandorf, regional tradespeople have settled in the Herrenhof area and offer visitors a varied programme.
