The Elz path begins in Wittenweier and runs for around 13 kilometers through a varied landscape of forests, meadows and fields along the Elz river. The path is well signposted and offers numerous opportunities to experience and enjoy nature.

There are many interesting sights along the way, including the ruins of the Hochburg castle ruins, Burkheim Castle and the Tauber Gießen nature reserve. There are also some cozy inns along the way where you can take a break and enjoy regional specialties.
