Tjolöholms Slottskyrka - The castle church was built in 1903-1904 on the initiative of the owner of Tjolöholms estate, Mrs. Blanche Dickson, and designed by the architect Hans Hedlund. Mrs. Dickson was very religious and wanted staff to be able to go to church.
After being unused for many years, the Castle Church was renovated and 90 years after the consecration in 1994, Tjolöholm Church was reconsecrated. The treasures of the church were also restored. The beautiful chandeliers, candelabra, communion vessels and baptismal font will be reused. The pulpit, altar and altarpiece are the originals. The beautiful windows in the chancel are original, probably designed by Hans Hedlund. But no one knows why one of the leaves in the window on the left is undyed... In December 2006 the new church organ was inaugurated, which was largely built with generous donations.
Tjolöholms Slottskyrka is an ecumenical church, ie open to all Christian communities, and can accommodate a total of 180 guests. There is prayer and worship at the church on the Christmas and New Year weekends and in the summer, please check the calendar for current times.
WEDDING IN THE CASTLE CHURCH
With its beautiful location, Slottskyrkan is a fantastic venue for wedding events. The wedding can be combined with a wedding celebration in the castle or the big hut. From the church, the bridal couple can take a horse-drawn carriage ride while the guests hike through the castle park up to the castle or to the Storstugan.

Step up the castle's magnificent staircase and take your vows of love in front of Julius Kronberg's masterpiece The Queen of Sheba. After the wedding there is the possibility to invite guests to a snack in the castle or to continue the celebration with a fabulous wedding dinner in the castle room.
WEDDING IN THE CASTLE GARDEN
Make your promise with the sea as a backdrop and the castle as a backdrop on the Schlosswiese with views stretching for miles. You can also choose another part of the garden, for example on the terrace above the vault for a more intimate feeling. Decoration with pillars and flower heart or flower portal that frames the bridal couple, as well as seating for guests are included. Only possible in connection with dinner in the castle.
